You can prevent users from copying text, images, and graphics from a PDF by changing the document protection settings in Adobe Acrobat. This step can protect document contents and manage the distribution and use of sensitive information. You can prevent others from disabling the copy function and document printing. When password protection is turned on, only people with passwords will be able to change the PDF.
Prevent Copying of PDF Files
Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat 0.0 or later.
Click on the “Advanced” tab in the main menu bar. Select “Security” and select “Encrypt with Password.” Click “YES” to enable the security settings changes.
Type the authorization password. You can use it to adjust your security settings at a later date.
Click “Printing Allowed” and select any print option you want to enable using the drop-down menu. Choose the default “None” if you want to disable printing completely.
Click on ” changes Allowed” and select the option you want to enable, such as Allow form fields to be filled in or add comments. Choose the default “None” if you want any changes to be disabled completely.
Click OK. ”Users will not be able to copy any part of the PDF.
